Program yoUr Future has several opportunities open for both high school students and middle school girls. These high technology programs work in unison, creating a strong support system among the adults, high school students, and middle school students within the Bay Area. PUF recruits and retains promising new leaders. High school applicants must fill out the same application form as middle school applicants. In the application, it is important to emphasize both the technical and leadership skills that you may already possess. As a leader, you will truly attain an experience of a lifetime, making a difference in the lives of minority middle school girls and diversifying the tech community! PUF has a strong network and multiple resources. The PUF Leadership Team high school students will also receive Service Hours for graduation and may request recommendation letters. This is a great opportunity! And will look wonderful on all of your future endeavors!
Our current HS Leadership Team is comprised of underrepresented ethnic minorities, both young men and women, who desire to diversify the fields of Computer Science, Information Technology, and Engineering. These qualified youth help impart knowledge, resources, practical programming skills, and guidance to the middle school girls at PUF. Each summer, there will be a Leadership Summit to train a new group of high school students for the activities in the upcoming school year. Students learn and solidify their business, writing, marketing and outreach, fundraising, planning, and technical skills. As minorities guide minorities at PUF, we are able to support their pursuit of higher education and their aspirations of making a difference among the Silicon Valley community.
Opportunities will be posted as and when available. Contact us directly for info.
